Here at Rock My Vintage we are cheerleaders for all things 1920s, so we were jumping for joy when we came across this beautiful vintage black flapper dress! Although this divinely deco dress has all the signature details of a 1920s original, it’s surprisingly from the 1970s – which means it’s in pretty fab condition! The iridescent rainbow toned beads are delicately stitched into an art deco inspired design, and we just love the cut out details on the neckline and the sassy skirt splits adding a modern edge to the classic flapper style. If it’s an evening dress you’re after, we think 1920s style dresses are always a winner so rock the look in an original piece.

This 1970s vintage black flapper dress by Frank Usher is 100% pure silk with a rayon lining. It is beaded with multi-toned bugle beads, and has a heavily embellished round neckline, with cut out details on the front and back. The silk is slightly frayed along the hem down the left hand side of the dress; however this is barely noticeable when worn. There is a very light grey mark on the silk on front of the dress (see last photo). A large majority of the original beading is intact, with just a small line of beads missing on the back of the dress. The original Frank Usher label is stitched inside the neck. Overall this dress is in good vintage condition.

Please note this flapper style dress is slightly sheer, so you may prefer to wear it with a slip dress.

Measurements: Bust – 36 inches. Waist – 34 inches. Hips – 38 Inches.
